Stratford Town Walk

The guided Stratford Town Walk is an award-winning experience put together with the vast local knowledge and experience of its dedicated team. The walks were created to teach visitors all about Stratford-upon-Avon’s history in an exciting and unique way. It also offers visitors a chance to visit a number of attractions on one fully organised tour. Visitors are then able to relax and take in the sights and immerse themselves in the history and culture on offer.

A guided town walk takes place once daily throughout the year, with a second walk being introduced on Saturday afternoons between March and October. A walk is even held on Christmas Day!

The walk takes you through Stratford-upon-Avon and follows the timeline of Shakespeare’s life from his birthplace on Henley Street to his final resting place at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Old Town. Stratford Town Walk customers also enjoy discounted admission fees to the sites found along the walk.

The Walk’s curators pride themselves on their reputation to hold guided tours whatever the weather. The walk is classified as ‘easy’, meaning walking and hiking boots are not necessary, however the duration of the walk averages at 2 hours, so comfortable footwear is advised.

All of the tour guides are certified members of Equity or are professionally trained magicians and entertainers. Payment is taken by the guide upon arrival at the meeting point, next to the Swan Fountain, on Waterside. Adult tickets are priced at £5.00, concessions are £4.00 and under 16’s are priced at £2.00.
